Consecutive Interpretation

Consecutive interpretation is where the speaker says a sentence or two and then pauses while the interpreter gives a translation of what has been said. I do not do simultaneous or remote interpretation.

Most of my work over the past twenty years has consisted of court interpretation and my main clients have been law firms and the various courts of Eastern Finland. I have also worked for the police and acted as an interpreter in child welfare interviews, adoption counselling, and crime and dispute mediation.

My fee ranges from 70 to 110€ per hour or part of an hour, depending on the nature of the assignment, and it is agreed beforehand on the basis of my offer, together with travel and other expenses if the assignment is outside the city of Joensuu.

Call or send me an email outlining your requirements. I look forward to hearing from you.
